Bodywork & Pilates is a fully equipped oceanfront studio dedicated to classical Pilates. The studio also hosts Teacher Workshops, Retreats, and offers Therapeutic Massage. Whether you're a local who's been longing for quality Pilates sessions or a visitor from other parts of the world, planning to attend a workshop or wanting a spectacular place to get away and retreat, I warmly invite you!

The Studio

The studio is fully equipped with fresh air, sunshine, swimming in the sea, Gratz apparatus and everything Pilates! A separate, quiet area outdoors on the patio where you can hear the ocean waves, is used for bodywork and massage.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is corrective exercise that improves your quality of life, no matter what your age, background, or fitness level. Each session is focused on the uniform development of your body in order to create stretch, strength, and control, resulting in visible changes in your posture and movement. A good session will massage your entire body from the inside out; the work is focused, rigorous, dynamic, flowing movement that leaves you feeling strong and energized.

Arlene Salomon, LMT

Arlene Salomon is a classically trained Pilates teacher practicing since 2002. Her comprehensive teaching program was with Rebecca Leone and she is currently an independent-study student at Vintage Pilates in Los Angeles, attending their seasonal intensives and workshops with Jay Grimes, first generation master teacher and former student of Joe and Clara Pilates. Arlene is also a licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, specializing in Sports Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Thai Massage.

How to Find the Studio

There is a public parking lot on Kaiau Place directly across from The Maui Vista Condos. If you have a car, find parking and walk towards the beach, when you see the public shower, make a left on the concrete public walkway. The property is the first one on the left of the walkway with a green lawn and hammock hanging in between the coconut palms. Walk a few yards until you see an opening through the planting bed. Welcome!
