About Dr Nathan Ehrlich

Dr Nathan Ehrlich, ND is a Naturopathic Physician practicing on Maui since 1988. He is a graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon from which he received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) degree in 1988. His premedical training was done at Albright College where he received his Bachelor of Science in PsychoBiology along with a Cluster in Hispanic Studies in 1984. From 1981 to 1984, while in college, he worked at the St Joseph Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania as Laboratory Technical Assistant and Phlebotomist.

Dr Ehrlich has done externships with the Portland Naturopathic Clinic, Portland, OR; and preceptored with Dr Andrew Weil, MD, Tuscon, AZ a world renowned physician, author, and leader in the field of Holistic Medicine; Dr Alec Burton, DO, Sidney, Australia, an authority in the field of Natural Hygiene and fasting; Dr Harold Dick, ND Spokane, WA (deceased), a naturopathic physician heralded as one of the authorities in hydrotherapy; among others. Dr Ehrlich did a 6 month internship with Dr Michael Dickens, ND on Maui in 1988.

Dr Ehrlich founded the Ola Ha Holistic Health Clinic in 1989 on Maui of which he has been owner and director to the present day. He has been a member of the Hawaii Society of Naturopathic Physicians since 1989 for which he has served as vice-president (1996-1997 and 2008-2009) and currently serves as island representative for Maui. He has been a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians since 1989.

Ola Ha Therapy (body work)

OLA HA = breath of life. Ola Ha Therapy is the name I have coined for the type of musculoskeletal release work that I do. I have been doing bodywork for over 30 years and during that time I have trained and practiced many techniques. These have ranged from Deep tissue therapies including Rolfing, Shiatsu/Kiatsu, and neuromuscular technique to lighter therapies including Orthobionomy, Craniosacral Therapy, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Reiki, and Polarity with many shades in between. I have blended together many of the best aspects of each of these therapies into my work which integrates the breath with the release process. I use positional release with active muscle resistance and physiotherapy modalities in combination with joint manipulation and mobilization. Learn more on my website.
